What's My Why?
I am firmly convinced that life becomes easier and more beautiful when we can see the good in other people. A successful teacher finds the right place for their students. Everyone needs to know that the secret to creating and leading changes is speaking from the heart. In order for change to be effective, both thoughts and feelings need to be shifted. Change is 60% heart and 40% mind (Kotter, 2011). Action and emotions are connected at the moment you do something or not. In addition, one of the first steps is to identify those complacency levels to lower it and create a real sense of urgency. Any negativity needs to be removed, and plans need to be shared without secrecy. Creating a sense of urgency builds a foundation for change (Kotter, 2013). Therefore, if you believe in something and you think that it is urgent, the change will be well-received and effective. Also, nobody would do something they do not believe in. I have found my "why" within me. Simon Sinek (2009) states that, "People don't buy what you do. They buy why you do it." In order to lead change, you need to know why you believe in the change.
If we look at what has happened in the last two years in a post-pandemic world, teachers were constantly under pressure to get better results from our students. Regardless of their background or grade level, with today's school daily schedule activities that can take over the heart and mind. Then, your “why” can be affected by the stress of the job. The question is, why do teachers do this? The answer is simple, we do it for the students. The students are our motor and inspiration to believe that we can make significant changes in their lives to help them to have a better future. Most of the people constantly ask themselves, why do we do things that are hard or not necessary since it is painful? The answer is, challenges are almost always an excellent opportunity for learning, growth, and improvement. In a classroom it is very similar, school could be stressful and exhausting, but at the end of the day you ask yourself why are we teaching? Teachers have a vital role in learning, we give children purpose, set them up for success as citizens of our world, and inspire in them a drive to do well and succeed in life. The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and teachers are that critical point that makes a child ready for their future.
Why?
We firmly believe that teachers have the ability to shape leaders of the future in the best way for society to build positive and inspired future generations.

How?
We engage and encourage students in their learning process promoting creativity, ownership, and voice in order to create a significant learning environment in the classroom (COVA models).
What?
We provide comprehensive lessons where students think critically through reflecting, connecting and sharing with others what they learned.

I strongly believe in these three statements, why, how and what, it is a motor for teachers. A teacher's life is like the life of an explorer, creating and constructing the classroom for free exploration. It is about engagement, courage and reminding students that no matter how difficult things look they can reach their goals. Every teacher, staff and coaches need to believe in the power of education and doing what is best for students. In this journey as a teacher bringing and using technology in purposeful ways in our curriculum, specifically through a blended learning model of instruction is the best option in the learning process. We can change and transform lives as well as we understand the reason of “why” and connect it with the student's heart. Without a doubt the “why” is the reason teachers are still facing challenges in education.
