Innovation Project Update

I still remember when I started my ADL journey almost a year ago. When I was tasked to create an innovation project I had the opportunity to establish some goals. It represented a huge opportunity to raise my voice in my organization, and it was a good occasion to transform my classroom, students, school and district. I chose to focus on implementing blended learning models to improve students' reading levels specifically in their reading fluency. Another relevant point was the literature review because it helped me to do a wide range of research to support my innovation plan and understand those resources that were necessary to be included in the project. Every aspect was detailed and presented in my literature review addressed to develop my plan which was created to help students to improve their reading fluency through blended learning models using station rotations.

It has been a process in many ways, the reality of time and in some cases the administrators have been open to do things new but at the same time they want to follow our district curriculum because this is something already established for all campuses. It is taking much longer to reach my goals. I was able to share my knowledge with my colleagues and staff and they received it in a good manner. In fact, I received positive feedback on my initial idea related to implementing this method of instruction called blended learning models in an effective and successful way.
