Literature Review

modelo_blended_ENG_edited.jpg

After working on my action research plan in order to know the success of my innovation plan, I decided to return to my first literature review and added some updates to incorporate more literature to my specific plan. Returning to my original literature related to the research gives a deeper understanding of what the researcher will be studying. Without a doubt it helps to know what to look for and understand the topic. This includes more information related to a wide perception of the teachers implementing this method called blended learning models, and research focused on the use of blended learning specifically in elementary schools for reading/ELAR classrooms.

This literature review focuses on improving reading levels and reading fluently by implementing blended learning models on my third grade bilingual students.

Also, I want to emphasize that the implementation of this plan called improving reading level by implementing blended learning with station rotations will help students to reach their academic goals but at the same time they will have choice, voice and ownership during the whole process (COVA). There are research studies at Lamar University that show that the COVA approach has a positive impact on the learners in the program (Harapnuik et al., 2018).
